Robertson Commercial Joinery
Established in 2004, Robertson Commercial Joinery has over 20 years of local experience in the Cabinetmaking/shopfitting industry. Before starting the business, our owner Greg worked for Brisbane City Council in their joinery workshop. Upon finding out the council were wanting to close the workshop, Greg took a redundancy and started Robertson Commercial Joinery.
To begin with, Greg started doing internal library fitouts, similar to the work he was doing for Brisbane City Council. For two years, while the business got up and running, Greg’s wife Cindy-Lee supported him before stepping in and working for the business herself. Now, Robertson Commercial Joinery is a strong team of 7, each who play an integral role in the success of the business. We’ve moved on from solely working on library fitouts and offer a vast range of joinery services including retail shop fitouts, office fitouts, Medical centre fitouts, custom library furniture, work for schools and universities, and general commercial fitouts.
We pride ourselves on being reliable, efficient and, above all, being able to produce a high-quality product for a price that fits your budget. We’re different because we understand the demands of council projects and the nature of construction sites – we’ll work with you, not beside you. Our office is based in Narangba and is open from 6am-3pm Monday to Friday. We travel Australia wide and also supply products that can be shipped Australia wide. For supply only work, we ship to anywhere in Australia with the addition of freight charges.
The Process
Having worked in the industry for 16 years, we’ve developed a streamlined process that is unique to our business and the way that we operate. Our process was created on a customer first basis – everything we do revolves around making sure our clients are happy with the work before they pay a cent. We believe it shouldn’t happen any other way. When a potential client contacts us, they’ll chat to one of our friendly team about the job they want done. We are happy to work off a sketch, an explanation or a photo – whatever suits the client best. We then provide the client with a quote based off this initial chat. After providing a quote, we draw up the project using a software called Microvellum.
Once the client signs off on the job, we create a purchase order for the job which requires a 25% deposit from the client. After this is received, Greg will do a site visit and perform a check measure so that manufacturing can begin. Once the manufacturing process is complete, the product is yours! We are happy to just supply or finish off the job by installing your finished product for you.
